The European Court of Human Rights is an international judicial institution that monitors the compliance with the Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and its annexes by its member states.

It should be noted that the European Court of Human Rights does not replace the national judicial institution, but only evaluates the behavior of the state for compliance with the norms of the Convention.

Only the European Court of Human Rights is the institution that will protect your Convention rights and freedom, even if the highest judicial authority of Ukraine could not do this.

However, the special legal status of this international judicial institution determines the existence of special conditions, the non-compliance of which will make it impossible to protect your rights and freedom.
